Idaho lawmakers are working on a flurry of bills that would take away some powers from local governments, including rent control and deciding what's considered a misdemeanor. 

They're also working on property taxes, the mere mention of which makes many people either angry or flat-out bored. But they are a big deal, and one plan to reduce taxes is meeting resistance from local leaders.

And, we take a look back at the 1968 Western Idaho Fair when Captain Kirk himself - William Shatner - stopped by the KTVB booth for a visit.
